- 230g wire beaded racing slick tyre - slightly thinner than the Brompton standard tyre.
- This tyre is comparable to tyres used on road racing bikes.
- Just like the Brompton Kojak, but cheaper and slightly heavier with a wire bead and reflective Schwalbe and Kojak lettering (instead of a sidewall strip).
- The Schwalbe Kojak with wired tyre bead is one of two replacements for the Schwalbe Stelvio tyre which was discontinued by Schwalbe in 2009. The other was a folding Kojak, but this was also discontinued (apart from the Brompton version - slightly confusing).
- New for 2011 was a reflective side label (the "Kojak" logo) to give improved side visibility.
- In 2016 or 2017 the reflective lettering on the sidewall of the tyre changed from white to a subtle dark writing.
- The Schwalbe Kojak tyre for your Brompton / Mezzo (or other 16" wheel bicycle) is maintained at even higher pressures than other Brompton tyres, these lightweight slicks are the fastest in the Brompton range from Schwalbe.
- Their slightly smaller diameter means that gearing is lowered by 2.5% and the narrower tyre width also makes them unsuitable for use with tyre-driven dynamo lighting.
- If you are looking to save weight - see the Brompton Kojak folding tyre (with reflective sidewall) or Schwalbe Kojak folding tyre (without reflective sidewall) which weigh approx 175g.
- They do not come with a reflective sidewall, so reflectors should to be fitted to the wheels.
